Can I install InvisOutlet Aura myself?
Yes! InvisOutlet was designed for DIY installation. Every InvisOutlet is pre-wired with 3-way wire connectors. Additionally, you can reference the printed installation guide included in the box and visit our support site. Please ensure you review all safety/installation guidance. Consult a qualified electrician if you are unclear about the procedures.
Does it require a neutral wire?
Yes! InvisOutlet is an in-wall smart outlet which requires a netural wire, all receptacles have a netural wire so no worries on missing them!
What is the optimal number of InvisOutlet Auras for my home?
For shared rooms that need aesthetic color lighting, such as a living room, we recommend at least 3 InvisOutlet Aura's, depending on the size of the space. For individual rooms, such as bedrooms, we recommend 1 or more InvisOutlet Auras depending on the availability of unobstructed outlet spaces. For hallways, the most elegant solution is to replace most if not all outlets to provide an impressive color glow throughout your home. Ultimately, it's worth taking a look throughout your house to determine how many available outlets are in each room, as well as your own lighting needs! Consider both color lighting needs as well as smart control over your appliances through InvisOutlet Aura's dual smart receptacles.
What are InvisOutlet Aura's components?
InvisOutlet Aura includes 2 modular pieces. The first component is the in-wall smart outlet itself (InvisOutlet), which connects directly to home power. The second component is the smart cover plate (InvisDeco) that contains the RGB light and light sensor, powered by the in-wall component.
InvisOutlet's modularity means that for future upgrades and evolutions in sensor capabilities, all you have to do is swap off the cover plate with a new one! No re-installation required.
How is InvisOutlet Aura's light adaptive?
InvisOutlet monitors its surrounding luminosity at 200-millisecond intervals and makes automatic adjustments to the nightlight brightness.
Does it require any hubs?
No! InvisOutlet does not require any hubs for installation and use.
